Located on level one, Sofia is a casual Southern Mediterranean Grill and Cocktail Lounge. A space in which family and friends come together to share good food, delicious cocktails, beautiful wines and beers—sourced both locally and from Europe.
The food focus is inspired by Southern Mediterranean cuisines. Our chefs use Sofia’s own extra virgin olive oil imported from our olive groves in Mani, Greece. Sofia has generous-sized servings of entrees and main courses and encourages a shared table experience. Our food ethos is to serve fresh and vibrant seasonal produce—which is top quality and locally sourced—in generous, home-style dishes.

Though recently renovated, the Front Bar retains the original heritage features of the old Cleveland Inn. Our interior designer has worked around the original 1912 wall tiles, ceiling coffers and art deco features, successfully marrying old with new. With a unique use of black, he has created a dramatic, sexy atmosphere.
By day, the Front Bar has a relaxed atmosphere, with its large windows offering views of the vibrant life on Cleveland and Bourke Streets. As night falls, the bar comes alive as locals and eclectic groups of nightlife lovers arrive.
The sleek, u-shaped bar is extensive, ensuring that even on our busiest nights you won’t be waiting long for service.
The Front Bar boasts a wide range of bottled and tap, local & craft beers, ciders, spirits and the latest cocktails. All of this, as well as an appetising range of meals, are served with a smile by our friendly staff!

The Back Bar area is located downstairs in the back section of the hotel, it features a pool table, lounge area, and TV screen showing free to air sporting events. This bar it is adjacent to our outdoor smoking courtyard and is open till 4am every nights.

The Outdoor Terrace is a niche, open-air space of less than 30 seats, has direct access to the Back Bar and is the permitted space for smoking.
